SCUDERIA FERRARI MARLBORO (M. Schumacher 1st/R. Barrichello 2nd)

Technical: Three F2001s unchanged in specification.

Sporting: Schumacher completed seven laps in the spare Ferrari and five laps in his race car, exclusively running full wet tyres. Barrichello concentrated on intermediates.

Quotes: Michael Schumacher: "I am very happy with the car which feels extremely good today."

WEST McLAREN MERCEDES (Coulthard 3rd/Raikkonen 5th)

Technical: Three MP4/17s unchanged in specification since yesterday.

Sporting: Team concentrated on assessing handling balance on both full wets and intermediates. Coulthard and Raikkonen both got into big slides under braking for the first corner and went across the grass, but neither car suffered any damage.

Quotes: Ron Dennis: "Considering the unpredictable conditions we feel we are in good shape for the race."

BMW WILLIAMSF1 TEAM (R. Schumacher 4th/Montoya 15th)

Technical: Cars unchanged in specification since yesterday.

Sporting: Schumacher concentrated on running intermediate rubber while Montoya ran full rain tyres. Montoya also switched to the spare car after gearbox hydraulic problems on his race chassis.

Quotes: Schumacher: "It was a very productive session working on alternative set-ups for the wet or damp conditions."

SAUBER PETRONAS (Massa 6th/Heidfeld 7th)

Technical: No changes to the cars since yesterday.

Sporting: Massa had electronic software problems in both his race and the spare car which caused the engine to revert to idle mode which caused him to return to the pits at walking pace. Heidfeld started running on intermediates then switched to full wet weather tyres.

Quotes: Heidfeld: "Due to those fuel pressure problems in practice I haven't had enough running in dry conditions."

DHL JORDAN HONDA (Fisichella 8th/Sato 14th)

Technical: Sato remains in T-car while his race car which was damaged yesterday morning was now rebuilt as Fisichella's T-car for race day.

Sporting: Fisichella working hard to establish the best handling balance between running on wet and intermediate tyres. Sato stopped with the failure of a gearbox sensor.

Quotes: Fisichella: "The handling balance seems quite good and we are very hopeful for the race."

MILD SEVEN RENAULT F1 TEAM (Trulli 9th/Button 18th)

Technical: No changes to cars since yesterday.

Sporting: Trulli ran two sets of rain tyres and one set of intermediates but Button stopped after a handful of laps with an unspecified technical problem.

Quotes: Flavio Briatore: "We are really making progress with a good feeling amongst all the team members."

JAGUAR RACING (Irvine 10th/ de la Rosa 22nd)

Technical: No changes to cars since yesterday.

Sporting: Irvine quite happy with handling balance in wet conditions but de la Rosa lost a lot of time with a gearbox hydraulic problem.

Quotes: Niki Lauda: "Bad cars can often perform quite well in the wet."

ORANGE ARROWS (Frentzen 11th/Bernoldi 21st)

Technical: No changes to cars since yesterday.

Sporting: Ran race car, then switched to spare before Bernoldi took it over after his car suffered an oil leak. He will probably race the spare car.

Quotes: Frentzen: "I think our chances will be better if it is a wet race."

PANASONIC RACING TOYOTA (McNish 12th/Salo 18th)

Technical: No changes to the car since yesterday.

Sporting: McNish very happy with handling balance on full tanks, but Salo crashed and knocked off the nose section when he touched a painted white line in the wet conditions.

Quotes: Salo: "Our main priority remains to finish the race on our first F1 outing."

LUCKY STRIKE BAR HONDA (Panis 13th/Villeneuve 17th)

Technical: No changes to the car since yesterday.

Sporting: Both cars ran on full tanks while assessing both rain and intermediate rubber. No technical problems.

Quotes: Panis: "Keeping a good chassis balance throughout the race will be the big challenge."

KL MINARDI ASIATECH (Webber 19th/Yoong 20th)

Technical: No changes to the car since yesterday.

Sporting: Both cars ran only on intermediate rubber.

Quotes: Webber: "I was very happy to have my first experience of a trouble-free run in full rain set-up."
