SCUDERIA FERRARI MARLBORO (1st M. Schumacher/2nd Barrichello)
Technical: No changes to the car specification for today.
Sporting: Schumacher used race car and spare, suffering engine failure in front of the pits at the wheel of the latter. Barrichello routine session with no real problems.

BMW WILLIAMSF1 TEAM (3rd R. Schumacher/9th Montoya)
Technical: No changes to the car specification for today.
Sporting: Montoya reported that the circuit was extremely slippery and he spent some time cleaning up the side of the grid from which he is starting. Ran lower downforce trim than his team-mate. Ralf had a routine session reporting that the brakes and traction felt very good.
Quotes: Montoya: "It will be a really tight scramble into the first corner after the start."
WEST McLAREN MERCEDES (4th Coulthard/14th Raikkonen)
Technical: No changes to the car specification for today.
Sporting: Coulthard had a routine session despite two off-track excursions across the grass while Raikkonen, who tried the spare car, never got a clear run in traffic.
Quotes: Ron Dennis: "This race is a close call between a one and two stop strategy and has historically the highest record of safety car deployment to the point where you can almost factor it into your race strategy."
ORANGE ARROWS (5th Bernoldi/12th Frentzen)
Technical: No changes to the car specification for today.
Sporting: Frentzen had a couple of off-track excursions without damage while Bernoldi had a trouble-free session.

Technical: No changes to the car specification for today.
Sporting: Trulli reported that his car felt good and competitive while Button echosed those sentiments after a trouble-free session.

JAGUAR RACING (7th de la Rosa/11th Irvine)
Technical: Original spec CR3 V10 engines installed for the race.
Sporting: Both drivers ran low fuel levels in the warm-up and had no technical problems, apart from continued lack of grip out of the slower corners.

LUCKY STRIKE BAR HONDA (8th Panis/19th Villeneuve)
Technical: No changes to the car specification for today.
Sporting: Panis very happy with the feel of his car but Villeneuve frustrated by difficult handling on full tanks.
Quotes: Panis: "We are hoping for some decent mechanical reliability at last this afternoon."
SAUBER PETRONAS (10th Massa/15th Heidfeld)
Technical: No changes to the car specification for today.
Sporting: Heidfeld reported a good warm-up although he confirmed that the track was slower than yesterday due to the rain. Massa a little bit disappointed in his top speed.
Quotes: Massa: "I need to make a good start and to pass as many cars as possible in the early stages."
DHL JORDAN HONDA (13th Fisichella/20th Sato)
Technical: No changes to the car specification for today.
Sporting: No mechanical problems but the team got rather lost on detailed set-up and did not manage to complete its programme. Sato's car repaired after oil spurted over the exhaust during its engine failure yesterday, setting the rear bodywork alight.
Quotes: Fisichella: "Despite our slight problems this morning we are feeling quite confident for the race."

Technical: No changes to the car specification for today.
Sporting: No problems from either car although Yoong had two off-track moments on the dirt.
